Grenade Bouncing.

If you're running from someone who is firing at you from behind, bounce a grenade off a wall in front of you before turning and confronting your pursuer. This should at least soften him up for you, or even take him out altogether. You might want to practice this maneuver to get the timing right and to avoid blowing yourself up in the process.

Mastering Grenades.
|
|
Have you ever had trouble killing your opponent with just the grenade (not the grenade launcher)? The technique is to hold down the fire button until you hear three clicks, then release. That way you don't need a direct hit; there will be a second or so before it explodes and then the blast can still hurt your enemy.
|
|
|
Pick Off Your Enemies.
|
|
You?ll run across a lot of closed doors during your game, and you?ll have no idea what to expect on the other side. A great tactic is to open the door, run in and fire a couple of times, then backpedal out. More often than not, you?ll ?wake up? one or more of the enemies who will then head for the door. Once they enter your range, they?re easy pickings.

Fire at Random.
|
|
If you're in a small level with lots of players, randomly fire your rocket launcher or grenade launcher down hallways, into rooms, and up onto platforms. You'll be surprised at how many free frags you score.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Keep Moving Around All The Time.
|
|
In the multiplayer game, you want to be constantly moving. Thats not really the case in the single player game, but when you encounter an enemy youd better be active. Perfect your circle strafe and learn how to fire accurately while going backwards. Never give the enemies an easy shot at you, zigzag while approaching or retreating and dont forget that jumping up and down makes you a harder target to hit.

Get the Free Weapons.
|
|
When players die (including yourself), they drop the weapons that they were last using. This is a great reward for a kill well made. In a game with lots of players running around, you can often grab a freebie weapon from a recently dropped player, even if you didn?t do the killing. Just keep your eyes open!

|
Know Your Mission.
|
|
Pay attention to the mission overview whenever you see the F1 screen flashing, and keep your mind on the task at hand. Remember, to win the game in single player mode all you really need to do is move forward from one mission objective to the next. You don?t have to drop every foe you encounter; sometimes just sprinting by is the best tactic. Often, you?ll have to find switches that aren?t near what they?re supposed to move. That means that you?ll need to keep a good mental sense of direction to get back to familiar parts of the level. Don?t let yourself get lost.

Avoid Grenades.
|
|
Stay out in the open so that you can keep your eye on the grenades and avoid them, but make sure you keep a good distance from your opponent--one direct hit spells curtains for you. If a grenade is sliding toward you on the floor, you can almost always jump over it to avoid being hit.
|
|
|
Zombie Tactics.
|
|
The only weapons that will take out a Zombie are the Grenade Launcher and the Rocket Launcher, but these will hurt you, too if fired from close range. Note: Never let a Zombie get too close; you can always run away from them if you must.
|
|
|
Easy Pickings.
|
|
An easy way to get quick kills is to listen for sounds of a firefight, and then charge the area and mop it up. If you have 100 health and your opponent has 40, who do you think has the advantage? Sure, it's not the most manly of tactics, but it will boost your kill count.
